Fish Passage Engineer

Description: Share your expert knowledge as the ODFW's Fish Passage Engineer by providing technical engineering support to the Fish Screening and Passage Program. This position is responsible for consultation, review and approval of facility designs and evaluation of facilities for compliance with State and Federal standards after construction.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; and four years of engineering experience; and you must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon or have the ability to obtain an Oregon license within six months.

We may consider under-filling this position at a lower level for the successful applicant.

Salary: $5,604 - $8,199/mo. Generous benefits package.

Reporting to the City Manager, the Development and Public Works Director is a critical member of the City's executive management team and also serves as the Executive Officer for the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission. The selected candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, civil engineering, planning, or a related field. Seven to 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in development, public works, urban land use planning, or a related field is required, along with at least five years of management experience, including two years of executive management experience. A valid driver's license at time of appointment is required. Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience may be considered qualifying. The hiring range for this outstanding opportunity is between $93,288 and $130,603, depending on qualifications and experience.
