Who We Are:
Oregon MATHCOUNTS is part of a nationally recognized math skills improvement program for middle school students. The objectives of MATHCOUNTS are to help students develop better math skills, to provide enrichment materials to math teachers, and to recognize students' accomplishments through regional, state, and national competitions.
How can you help?
The number of students in the Oregon regional competitions increases each year.
Efforts are needed to locate, reserve, and set up competition sites; arrange for lunches for the competitors, coaches, and volunteers; coordinate the volunteers; and prepare scoring room materials. Contact Michael Hardy, P.E. mhardy@eepdx.com if you are interested in volunteering.
We have teachers' and parents' attention; let's not let them down. Whether you volunteer your time or recruit a volunteer, help will be needed at the regional competitions during February and at the state competition in March at OSU.
